When time allows, Mondsee ΓÇö whose basilica appeared as the film's wedding church ΓÇö can replace the lakes leg. Filming locations viewed from public vantage points only; private properties are not entered.

What to Expect
Passports come along, since the route crosses the German border twice. The final approach at the top includes a steep tunnel walkway and elevator, so sturdy footwear helps. Shuttle tickets for the ascent are purchased on site and are not part of the tour price.

A lakes-focused variant of the Eagle's Nest day for travellers more drawn to boat landings and shoreline walks than the summit road.
Salzkammergut Lakes
A slower multi-lake day — Fuschlsee, Wolfgangsee, Traunsee — built around swimming spots and lakeside terraces rather than any single destination.
Grossglockner High Alpine Road
A long summer-only day over Austria's highest scenic pass. Open roughly May to October and always weather-dependent — confirmed close to the travel date.
